- Prologue-

The macarons that are hailed as the nobility in desserts are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a smooth and delicate outer shell, bright colors, and extraordinarily rich layers of texture. This is just like the feeling Charlie gives to those around him. Flamboyant appearance, humorous manner of speech, the occasional wittiness from his thoughts and words, and the interesting contrasts that you can see all over him have all left a profound impact on everyone who has been in contact with him. It's said that interesting souls trumps over the excellence in looks, but to Charlie, whether it's his soul or his looks, he possess a unique perfectness in both. 

- The Wonderful Tale of Macarons-

"Hello~ Greetings everyone, I'm Zha LiSu. I've accepted the invitation from Marie Claire, and many perfect moments have been retained. I've enjoyed this photoshoot very much, and I believe that you'll have a deeper understanding towards the term "perfect" after reading the magazine."

The interview site is located in the suburbs. When it was almost the appointed time, noisy sounds are suddenly heard from outside the site. Not long after, a helicopter hovering in the skies landed on the lawn not far away. Surrounded by four or five bodyguards dressed in black carrying giant metal briefcases, a man dressed in a sophisticated black and gold shirt with a wide, black sunglasses slowly walked towards us.

"Hello, I'm Charlie."

To Charlie's eyes, this is already a way for him to make his appearance that can't get more ordinary.

Exclaiming while faced with such a grand scene, the staff subconsciously begun to worry if the upcoming interview would be difficult. Surprisingly, Charlie is much more cooperative than they have imagined. Not only he understands the interview process like the back of his hands, he has also displayed his confidence throughout his responses in the interview with great ease. In the photoshoot venue, he has been cooperating with the staff's arrangement strictly and seriously from the beginning to the end. And those seemingly highly dangerous and mysterious briefcases in the hands of the bodyguards, are actually containing the macaron gift boxes from Charlie to every staff in the venue.

During the interview, Charlie possesses his flamboyance and confidence that he makes no secret of. When faced with compliments, he isn't humble at all; When faced with inquiries, he wouldn't show hesitance at all either. His flamboyance appearance, humorous manner of speech and his occasional wittiness from his thoughts and words have all left a profound impact to everyone who has been in contact with him. You can see interesting contrasts in everywhere from Charlie. These differences in him aren't contradictory, but are instead like a macaron that has blended various flavors together, and formed into an extraordinarily rich taste from the balances of their values. It's impossible for you to summarize and describe him with mere simple adjectives, and it's perhaps only the three words "Zha LiSu" would be able to interpret his uniqueness.

Before becoming a burn surgeon, Charlie has tried other different occupations.

He worked as an intern reporter in news channels, and he has also worked as a firefighter. Throughout his experiences, Charlie has understood a deeper side of this world. To him, to have different tries in occupation isn't just because of his interest, but more of his desire to search for the path he has been looking for throughout his experience, the search for things that he can truly do on his own.

It might be very difficult for you to imagine that Charlie is actually a doctor at first glance. Different from his usual flamboyance in life, when it comes to work, Charlie has always been upholding his professionalism with a strict and serious attitude. In the poll for "Good Doctors in GuangQi" last year, Charlie has topped the charts with a whopping amount of votes that threw his opponents far behind. From the comments from his patients, not only there were comments on his excellence in medical skills or praises where he brings patients back to life, there are many mentions of him being considerate of the usage of medical and checkups based on his patient's financial conditions, and he would never charge ridiculously. Charlie has built great reputation from his patients with his outstanding medical skills and noble medical ethics.

Besides work, Charlie is also a master in various skills. He's skillful in baking, he plays billiards, he can dance in waltz, proficient in multinational languages, he can also drive many vehicles, and even possesses a bus license. To Charlie, whether it's medical examination in the past or skill appraisal tests, it's normal for him to attain perfect scores. "With my superior wisdom, it's a piece of cake to attain these achievements".

There are many books collected in Charlie's study, and from the photo of a corner of his bookrack that he provided, there are serious reading materials such as "Fang Si-Qi's First Love Paradise*", there are also domineering boss type of novels such as "Sweet Marriage Order: The Wealthy and Powerful Young Man who Dotes His Wife with His Life**". Charlie mentions that the latter is his study material for his relationship. To Charlie, maintenance of love also requires continuous learning and accumulation of experience, so various romance drama or novels are study materials for Charlie. Besides that, Charlie also has a book titled "The Perfect Fiance Handbook***", where the book are recorded with various precautions that one should take note in order to become a perfect fiance. Compare to theories, Charlie trusts practical experiences better. "There are no eternally unchanging truths, if there's one, that would only be a lie carefully fabricated by those who disguise themselves as almighty gods".

Due to his job, Charlie usually has very little time for rest. "I will only spend time on valuable matters." To Charlie, "valuable matters" include work, and also including the wonderful leisure times with his fiancee, and to allow his fiancee to always have a happy and joyful smile on her face.

There are really too many interesting matters in this world, and the flourishing scene that lies before our eyes always dazzles us. However, to Charlie, whether in career or in life, he has already found the matter that he truly wishes to complete in both aspects.

"The reason why people are lost in this flourishing world, is because they lack a belief that is sufficient to keep them sober, and I am falling into my belief soberly."

* The novel depicts a beautiful-looking literature student, Ms Fang Si-Qi being sexually assaulted by her tuition teacher Li Guo-Hua in long term, and finally had a mental breakdown.

marie claire: Our collaboration theme is "Hormone Explosion", it's said that everyone's hormone has a different scent, what do you think your hormone scent is?

Charlie: My fiancee has always been saying that I have a rich fougere scent*, so I suppose my hormone scent is something perfect and sexy, and also a scent that can heal the one I love.

*Generally, fougere scents are very clean and natural smelling and are characterised by a dry, grassy, hay-like dry down. 

marie claire: Then what's the type of hormone scent that you like?

Charlie: I think the scent of sweetness is the most perfect fragrance, for instance, the sweet fragrance when cherry jam is smudged on the body... and a top-class fragrance essential oil named "SEFIANA", when it's applied on people, it emits the most charming scent in the world.

marie claire: If you were to use a poem to describe the hormone response when you have a heartthrob, which would you choose?

Charlie: "My life was tinted purple by so much love, and I veered helter-skelter like a blinded bird till I reached your window."

marie claire: MBTI tests are very popular recently, do you know what MBTI you are?

Charlie: Of course I know, Extrovert, Intuition, Feeling, Judging, or ENFJ in short, there's also a pleasant-sounding nickname-- The Protagonist. The test says, that people of this personality type are usually passionate and honest idealists, and are rich in personal charms. Ah, well isn't this a depiction of the dazzling me. But as a psychology enthusiast, I think this test is actually just something that represents a state of this person throughout a certain period. After all, for someone this interestingly rich in character, how can I be easily summed up with mere letters?

marie claire: Reminiscing the past year, and looking forward to the next year, do you have anything that you'd like to say?

Charlie: Although being perfect is a norm in my life, but right at this moment, I wish to convey this message to everyone in this world through this magazine, that right on last year, I met my fiancee, and she is more perfect than everything I've ever owned, and she's the best compensation that my destiny has ever given me. From now onwards, there will be much more time left for us, and I'll anticipate every second I can spend with her.
